Born and bred in Stockholm, Sweden, Annika picked up a camera at the age of 12 and her passion for the image has been with her since.
An MA Cinematography graduate of UK's prestigious National Film & Television School, Annika is now based in East London, but works worldwide in drama, commercials and music promos.
Her graduation film “Until The River Runs Red” directed by Paul Wright won a BAFTA for Best Short Film. Her work has kept picking up major awards including an UKMVA, an Amanda (Norwegian BAFTA), Best Cinematography at Underwire and most recently Honorary Mention for Outstanding Cinematography for her work on the short drama Camping With Ada.
Her background includes invaluable experience in lighting as well as working for cinematography legend Christopher Doyle.
Her feature films ‘Await Further Instructions’, Bfi funded 'Postcards From London' and BBC rap-battle feature ‘VS.’ are all expected to be released in autumn 2018, with the latter premiering at BFI London Film Festival on the 13th of October.
She has recently wrapped on BBC drama ‘Clique season 2’ and shot a 10 episode TV-comedy drama for Norwegian TV-channel NRK called ‘One Night/En Natt’, which was filmed once in English and once in Norwegian/Swedish.
